Cairo on the Water
The Nile divides Cairo into two halves, and seeing the city from the water changes how it reads entirely. A felucca ride gives you the traditional version: a flat-bottomed wooden boat with a canvas sail, moving with the current and the wind. No engine. The pace is slow enough to watch the skyline shift as you pass Garden City and Zamalek. For the evening, dinner cruises depart from central Cairo and run for two to three hours along a stretch of river between the main bridges, while the city lights come on around you. Both options are private. Browse our Nile cruise programs, or use Craft Your Journey to plan something around your time in Cairo.
