Mayfair Nile Cruise

Your experience starts in Luxor, where our team will meet you at the airport or train station and handle your transfer to the Mayfair Nile Cruise. Settle in and enjoy lunch on board before setting off to explore the East Bank. Visit the impressive Karnak Temple Complex, wandering through ancient halls and vast courtyards that reflect centuries of devotion. Continue to Luxor Temple, where history spans from the pharaohs to later Islamic influences. Return to the ship for afternoon tea on the sun deck, followed by a relaxed dinner in the restaurant. After breakfast, cross to Luxor’s West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll enter three royal tombs adorned with colorful ancient artwork. Optionally, you can visit the tomb of Tutankhamun. Next, marvel at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built dramatically into the cliffs, and pause by the Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues guarding the Theban necropolis. Return to the Mayfair for lunch as you sail toward Esna. Enjoy the unique experience of passing through Esna Lock, then relax with dinner and a peaceful evening on board as the cruise continues.

Following breakfast, take a carriage ride to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, renowned for its remarkably preserved walls and ancient carvings. After returning to the ship for lunch, the cruise continues to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, explore the unique double temple dedicated to both Sobek and Horus the Elder, and visit the Crocodile Mummification Museum. Enjoy sunset views as you trip onward to Aswan, then relax with dinner and a restful night aboard the Mayfair Nile Cruise.

Arrive in Aswan and start your morning with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that shaped modern Egypt. Continue to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, dedicated to the goddess Isis and known for its graceful columns and lakeside setting. Next, see the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan’s granite quarries, learning about ancient stone-working techniques. After lunch on board, the afternoon is yours to relax or choose an optional felucca ride on the Nile. Dinner is served on the ship as you soak in the tranquil evening atmosphere.

Enjoy your final breakfast on the Mayfair before disembarking in Aswan. If you wish, you may join an optional tour to the striking temples of Abu Simbel, celebrated for their scale and artistry.
