Your Nile adventure starts in Esna, just south of Luxor. After being welcomed by the crew, settle into your cabin on the Agatha Dahabiya. Enjoy a guided walk through Esna’s vibrant town, famous for its markets and local crafts. Explore the Temple of Khnum, situated below street level and admired for its detailed columns and artwork.

Begin your morning with tranquil Nile views as you arrive at El Kab, an ancient capital of Upper Egypt. Walk through a fishing village to see the Temple of Nekhbet and the tombs carved into the rocks nearby. Continue sailing to Edfu, where a horse-drawn carriage takes you through town to visit the grand Temple of Horus, renowned for its preservation. Spend the evening on a quiet Nile island, relaxing under the stars.

Enjoy breakfast as you drift along the Nile’s peaceful stretches. Stop at a secluded island—swim in the Nile or stroll along its shores before the trip continues. Later, there’s an optional walk into the desert valley where you’ll find prehistoric rock carvings and hieroglyphs, tracing an ancient trade route. Your day ends moored beneath the illuminated walls of Gebel el-Silsileh, a serene site rarely visited by larger ships.

Wake up as the Nile narrows between dramatic cliffs at Gebel el-Silsileh. Visit the ancient sandstone quarries and the Temple of Horemheb, enjoying the exclusivity of a site inaccessible to most Nile cruise ships. After lunch, anchor along a scenic riverbank for swimming, relaxation, or simply appreciating the landscape.

Arrive at Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Continue to the nearby Crocodile Museum, home to an impressive collection of mummified crocodiles that once inhabited the Nile. Return to the dahabiya for a restful final evening on the river.

On your last morning, enjoy breakfast surrounded by the desert scenery of Aswan. Disembark at Aswan Bridge and transfer to your hotel or next destination, marking the close of your Agatha Dahabiya trip.
