Old Kingdom Egypt Pyramid Tour Packages Through Giza, Saqqara & Dahshur 2026/2027

A 4-day Egypt pyramid travel package from airport to airport, with Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur on one day and the Giza plateau and Grand Egyptian Museum next.

4 days
Moderate
Group Size: 8
Route: Giza

Why Egypt Pyramid Tour Packages Need Two Separate Giza Days

Most egypt pyramid tour packages squeeze Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara into one long day, and you leave having seen everything without remembering much. This route gives Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur one full day, then hands the Giza plateau and the museum a second day of their own.

That split matters because the Old Kingdom story only makes sense in order, from the Step Pyramid to the Bent and Red Pyramids, then to Giza. If you only have one day, the Pyramids, Saqqara and Grand Egyptian Museum tour condenses it, and our Giza programs show other formats.

Why Three Pyramid Fields Beat One Rushed Giza Morning

Four reasons this route leaves you with more than the Egypt pyramids tour packages that rush the plateau.

Pyramids Seen in the Order They Were Built

Saqqara and Dahshur come first, so by the time you reach Giza you already understand what the Great Pyramid improved on.

A Full Afternoon Inside the Grand Egyptian Museum

The museum gets its own half of the day after the plateau, instead of a hurried hour before closing.

An English-Speaking Egyptologist Who Connects Each Site

Your licensed guide stays with you on both touring days and links what you see at Saqqara to what you see at Giza.

Someone Waiting for You the Moment You Land

A representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your Giza hotel, so the first evening starts without logistics.

What a Pyramid-Focused Trip Asks of Your Feet and Schedule

Expect two long touring days with a lot of walking on sand and uneven stone, plus a long, low descent inside the Red Pyramid. Distances between Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur are short, but heat and sun build quickly after midday.

This suits you if the pyramids are the reason for the trip and you want them explained properly. If you want more privacy and tighter timing, our private VIP routes fit better, and if beaches matter most, look somewhere else.

The rhythm is simple and steady. You arrive and rest, spend one day with the older pyramids, then a second with Giza and the museum. Each evening is yours, close enough to the plateau to see it lit at night.

What's Included
  • Airport reception and assistance on arrival and departure.

  • Private air-conditioned vehicle for all transfers and touring.

Important Information

The practical details most egypt pyramid vacation packages skip, from where you are met to how the pyramid passages feel.

Meeting Point

Your representative meets you in the arrivals hall at the airport, holding a sign with your name. On touring days your guide and driver collect you from the hotel lobby after breakfast. Share your flight number when you book.

Age & Physical Requirements

Children are welcome with an adult. You need moderate fitness for long walks on sand and uneven ground. The Red Pyramid descent is steep and low, so anyone with knee or back trouble can wait outside.

Cancellation Policy

60 days or more before departure refund less any non-recoverable costs disclosed in advance.
30 to 59 days 25% of the total booking price.
15 to 29 days 50% of the total booking price.
Under 15 days up to 100% of the total booking price.
No-show no refund for missed services.

Best Time to Visit

October to April is the most comfortable time, with mild days on the open plateau. December and January are the busiest months at Giza. June to August brings intense heat, so touring starts early and the museum covers midday.

What to Bring

Calibrated for sand, steep pyramid passages and museum halls, which most egypt pyramid holiday packages leave you to figure out.

What to Bring With You
  • Light long-sleeved shirts.

  • Loose breathable trousers.

  • A wide-brim sun hat.

  • Closed walking shoes with grip.

  • A light jacket for winter evenings.

  • Sunglasses and sunscreen.

Merci Mahmoud !

What to Know Before Booking Egypt Pyramid Tour Packages

Four answers on meals, access and pace for anyone comparing this route with all inclusive egypt holidays near pyramids.

Are Lunches and Dinners Included in the Price?

No. Breakfast at your hotel is included every morning. Unlike the all inclusive holidays Egypt pyramids searches often show, lunch and dinner stay on your own, and your guide can suggest good local places.

Can I Go Inside the Great Pyramid?

Yes, with an optional extra ticket bought on the day. Standard plateau entry is included, and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur, which you enter on Day 2, needs no extra ticket.

Is This Trip Suitable for Children and Older Travelers?

Yes, for most. Expect plenty of walking on sand. The Red Pyramid descent is steep and low, so anyone with knee or back problems can simply wait outside while the others go in.

Why Is Saqqara Visited Before Giza?

Saqqara and Dahshur hold the earlier pyramids, so seeing them first makes the Great Pyramid easier to read. Most egypt pyramid tour packages run the other way, which hides how the design developed.
