3-Day Bahariya Oasis Tour Through the Black & White Deserts 2026/2027

Three private days in Egypt's Western Desert, with two camp nights that leave room for Agabat Valley, the Krawen dunes, spring pools and a White Desert dawn.

Why This Bahariya Oasis Tour Takes Three Days, Not Two

Most desert trips from Bahariya squeeze the Black and White Deserts into one rushed night, so the deeper valleys never make the cut. This three-day Bahariya Oasis tour adds a second camp, which frees the middle day for Agabat Valley, the Krawen dunes and a swim at the Magic Spring.

That extra day changes the pace of everything around it. The springs, Crystal Mountain and the White Desert sunset keep their time instead of being raced before dark. If you want more of the Western Desert, browse our desert adventures, or compare it with a four-day Siwa oasis tour.

Why Two Nights Change What You See in the Desert

Four reasons the slower Bahariya route reaches places a one-night camp never gets near.

A Second Day for Valleys Most Tours Skip

Most Bahariya oasis tours turn back after one night. Your second day covers Agabat Valley, the Krawen dunes and the Valley of Flower Stones.

Spring Water to Swim In on Both Days

You swim in Bahariya's hot and cold springs on the first afternoon. On the second day you swim in the palm-shaded pools of Ain El Serw.

A Bedouin Guide Who Knows Every Track

Your English-speaking Bedouin guide picks the routes, the camp spots and the right moment to stop for the light.

Every Meal Handled from Pickup to Drop-Off

All meals on the route are included, along with hot drinks, Bedouin tea and mineral water. Dinners are cooked over charcoal at camp.

What a Bahariya Oasis Tour Asks of Your Body

Expect about four hours on paved road each way, then long off-road stretches in a 4x4. Nights are simple camping on mattresses under blankets, and between November and March the desert turns properly cold once the sun finally goes down.

This route suits you if you sleep well outdoors and enjoy long days in open country. If you need a private bathroom every night, or rough 4x4 tracks would trouble your back, a hotel-based Egypt route will serve you better.

The first afternoon moves quickly between short stops. The second day slows into longer drives, a swim and a sunset in the national park. The last morning stays slow and quiet, and our Farafra Oasis guide explains what lies further south.

What's Included
  • Private air-conditioned car between your Cairo or Giza hotel and Bahariya.

  • A 4x4 vehicle and driver for every off-road stretch of the route.

  • An English-speaking Bedouin guide throughout the three days.

  • Two camp nights with tent, mattress, blankets and sleeping bag.

  • All meals on the route, with hot drinks and Bedouin tea.

  • Mineral water throughout the trip, from pickup to drop-off.

What's Not Included
  • Tips and gratuities.

  • Travel insurance.

  • Personal expenses.

  • Any activity not listed in the itinerary.

Important Information

These details shape the pickup, the camp nights and the season, so they matter more here than on a city tour.

Meeting Point

Pickup is from your hotel in Cairo or Giza early on the first morning. Your driver confirms the pickup window the day before. Drop-off is at the same hotel in the evening of the third day.

Age & Physical Requirements

Children travel with a parent or guardian. Share their ages when you enquire so the fit can be confirmed. You need moderate fitness for short sandy walks and long, bumpy 4x4 drives.

Cancellation Policy

60+ days: refund less non-recoverable costs.
30–59 days: 25% charge.
15–29 days: 50% charge.
Under 15 days: up to 100%.
No-show: no refund.

Best Time to Visit

October to April is best, with warm days and cold nights, which are coldest from December to February. May and September are hot but workable. June to August brings intense heat that makes midday stops hard.

What to Bring

Calibrated for hot sandy days, cold camp nights and swims at two desert springs.

What to Bring With You
  • Warm jacket for the night.

  • Light long-sleeved clothing.

  • Closed shoes for sand.

  • Wide-brimmed sun hat.

  • Swimwear for the springs.

  • Quick-dry travel towel.

  • Sunglasses and sunscreen.

  • Headlamp or small torch.

Merci Mahmoud !
